Where's My Niche?

My wife recently quit working due to health reasons. We were sitting pretty nicely on two incomes. We just moved, the cost of living changed and she became unable to work-all within just a few months time. So you can acurately draw the conclusion that we have entered into a financial pinch.

With all that being said, I have been trying to utilize my familiarity with the internet to gain a second stream of income via the web. And wow, have I been shocked and the volume of ways to get it. "For only 67.97 I will teach you how I make $1,000 a second" etc. Offers like that float around all over the internet. I actually paid for one of them (won't say which, makes me feel pretty suckered every time I think about it).

So what is the takeaway from all of this? After a whole lot of studying, reading researching, praying and just plain old thinking about it my conclusion is that to be successful you must be able to fill a niche that someone else isn't quite covering. Now don't go and flame me here, this is my opinion. If you have other idea's (not for a limited time offer of only 19.95 either) I would be happy to entertain them.

Dictionary.com defintition number 3 says a niche is 'a distinct segment of a market'. So, what's my niche? Still working on that one for sure, but I think just talking out how I am looking for it might help me out a little here. Could it be that the niche that I am looking for is nothing more than talking about finding a niche? Sound like a consultants job. Go somewhere, talk concepts and leave, all the whilte getting paid for it. That is what I need. Consulting work. Gotta love it.

Well, that's about enough about the niche market for now. Maybe I can sell niches? There are sort of like 'roundtoits', 'whatchamacalits' and 'whatsits' except for these ones are my product. Alright, I'll stop already. Signing out for now.
